Kathleen Panagis is an attorney at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLP, where she is part of a thirty person team of attorneys who are dedicated to the firm’s Community Associations practice group, which is one of the largest Community Associations practices in the mid-Atlantic region.  Kathleen serves as general counsel to common interest communities located throughout Virginia, which includes advisement on meeting requirements, covenant enforcement, fair housing law, as well as guidance on contracts, board operations, and amendments to governing documents.  In addition, she represents associations in various general district courts and circuit courts.  She received the Rising Star Award from SEVA-CAI in December 2016 and CA Day Committee’s Volunteer of the Year Award in December 2017. Kathleen served as the co-chair of the Education Subcommittee for SEVA-CAI’s CA Day 2018 and also serves as one of the chairs of SEVA-CAI’s Programs Committee.  Kathleen resides in her hometown of Virginia Beach with her husband, two sons, and Labrador retriever.
